Make Move Groove is an annual solstice gathering hosted at Old Pound Smithy, a teaching smithy and rewilded site in the North Devon countryside.
Across one weekend in June, the grounds become a small village of activity — with craft workshops in the smithy, movement sessions in the stretch tent, and music and talks unfolding as the evening light lingers.
Workshops are properly taught.
Sessions are unhurried.
Evenings are warm and simple.
The scale allows for real conversation, shared meals and space to breathe.

Morning mobility and yoga. Breathwork. Guided resets.
Movement sessions are designed to be accessible and grounding rather than performance-led. This is a wellbeing weekend rooted in landscape and nervous system restoration.
Acoustic sets. Fireside conversations. A solstice walk.
No big stages. No amplified chaos.
Evenings unfold gently as the longest light of the year lingers.

Old Pound Smithy sits in the North Devon countryside on land that once served as the village livestock pound.
Over recent years the grazed pastures have been rewilded into meadow and woodland edges, now thick with grasses, insects and native species unique to this part of Devon.
Everything during Make Move Groove Solstice 2026 happens within walking distance — smithy, stretch tent, hub spaces and meadow corners — creating a cohesive and human-scale experience.

Make Move Groove is capped at approximately 100 participants.
This ensures:
– Small workshop groups
– Space between sessions
– No queueing culture
– A gathering rather than a crowd
